This landscape design project aimed at representing the historical changes of Han Dynasty, through planning scenarios along with the main tourist route. As the area has been protected by the state since last century, it has eventually become a heterogeneous patch in the notion of Landscape Urbanism. Thus, the local government and my team tried to keep its original landscape, instead of building a new scenic spot for tourism. With small interventions, we foregrounded its urban functions, including spaces for people's everyday life, public education on history and culture, rainwater recycling, etc.
